Germs are everywhere. Let’s face it, we can’t avoid them. Purell keeps us safe from those germs!

About Purell

germsPURELL Hand Sanitizer was invented in 1988 by GOJO to meet the needs of healthcare providers and restaurants operators looking for ways to reduce the spread of germs. Healthcare workers needed to kill germs on their hands when they couldn’t get to soap and water. And restaurant operators needed extra germ-fighting protection to reduce the risk of food contamination.
PURELL Hand Sanitizer was a great success, not only because it was effective at killing 99.99% of most common germs, but because it was convenient, gentle and a pleasure to use. The dispensers and bottles could be placed anywhere, so hand hygiene was no longer restricted to the confines of a sink. And people enjoyed using PURELL Hand Sanitizer because it was refreshing and gentle.
Soon its popularity grew. People who used it at work also thought it would be great to use when they were at home or on the go.
In 1997, PURELL Hand Sanitizer was made available to consumers, forever changing the way the world stays well. It soon became America’s #1 hand sanitizer and a significant part of popular culture.
Today, PURELL Hand Sanitizer remains one of the most recognized brands in the world. It defines the hand sanitizer category and is the brand most preferred by doctors, professionals and consumers everywhere.
And now we’ve taken the next step and introduced PURELL Advanced Hand Sanitizer, the ultimate in germ-killing effectiveness.

My Thoughts

I don’t know about you, but germs are a permanent resident in my house. Imagine the germs in school? YIKES! Well, with Purell, you can germsbe safeguarded. Now, Purell isn’t able to 100% kill every germ, but it’s pretty darn close! They have bottles of sanitizer that you can sit around your house, or classroom.  For those on the go, they have small bottles with a holder, that attaches to backpacks, pocket books, etc. They even have sanitizer wipes that can be carried along on trips. They really do have you covered.
I personally like Purell because of my youngest son. He is autistic, and all of his life, he has a thing for Purell. I have no idea why, but this child will sanitize his hands all day long, but forget to wash them when necessary. So, I keep Purell on hand for those moments that we need them.
Purell has a pleasant scent to it. It’s not overly alcohol-y, and doesn’t burn like some of the cheaper brands do. There are different germsvarieties to choose from, too, as well as different styles. The wipes I put in our to-go bag in the trunk of my car. We take a lot of trips, and make lots of messes along the way. The Purell wipes are perfect for this. I usually have one of the small to-go bottles attached to my pocketbook at all times. This is an easy way to sanitize while out and about, or at school, etc. Overall, I’m very pleased with the Purell line, and we absolutely love them here in our home!
