My Thoughts
I am absolutely in love with this system! It does so much, and it makes my life so much easier. This system has eliminated all other slow cookers in my kitchen. I use it for frying, slow cooking, baking, etc. It makes a mean fried potato! The first meal I made in this was a delicious chicken with potatoes and carrots. It was literally a set it and forget it meal. Now, I didn’t use a pre-programmed setting on this, but I did use the slow cook setting. I peeled, cleaned and cut the potatoes and carrots, and laid them in the bottom of the pot. I seasoned some chicken breasts, and laid them on top of the veggies. I then put just enough water to cover all of the veggies, and some of the chicken. I used the high setting, and cooked them for about 3 hours, then switched to low for a couple more. They were falling apart, and so delicious!
This system comes with a rack that is great for baking potatoes on. They don’t take much time, and this system won’t heat your kitchen up like an oven will. This will make it much more desirable to cook in the summer months! Ninja included a cookbook as well, so that I can try out a ton of new, and easy, recipes.
The pot is non-stick, and easy to clean. It is a 6 quart pot, which means you can make a good amount of soup, or whatever you choose to make. It works great for cooking for a big family, or making a meal that will last a few days. There are many programmed recipes, so you can literally cook with the push of a button. All of the recipes in the book will tell you exactly what you need to push to start it.
You can fry with this system, as well. We like to fry potatoes, and add smoked sausage and cheese. It’s a very filling meal, and super easy to make. My oldest son loves it when I make spaghetti and meatballs in it!
The Ninja® Cooking System with Auto-iQ™ is my go-to cookware item, and my most prized possession! What are you waiting for? Go get yours today!
