About Christmas Forest

Rick and Ramona Holt sold their first Christmas wreath at Pike Place Farmer’s Market in Seattle in 1976. Rick was working in construction and Ramona was a piano teacher at the time. Looking for extra Christmas money to buy Christmas gifts, they harvested cedar boughs to sell to a local nursery. When the owner of the nursery said that he didn’t need the branches after all, the Holts decided to try their hand at making and selling wreaths so the boughs would not be wasted. They worked all night making wreaths and the next morning they sold their first Christmas wreath in Seattle, Washington. That was 40 years ago and now the wreaths of Christmas Forest have decorated thousands of doors around the world.

My Thoughts

This is my second year getting a wreath from Christmas Forest. I absolutely adore them! I love the smell of fresh pine, and it looks beautiful on my door.  It arrived via UPS, and was super fresh. When I opened the box, I could smell the freshness! They send the bow with it, but you put it on yourself, which I like because I can place it where I want it. It hangs very easily with an inexpensive wreath hanger.
I should warn you. If you are looking for a wreath to only last a month or so, this is not the wreath for you! These last a long while! Last year, I hung it on November 3rd or 4th, and didn’t take it down until the middle of January!
The quality of these wreaths is amazing! They are very well made, and nothing falls off. It all stays put just like it should. We obviously open and close our front door about a million times a day, it seems. never once has any piece fallen off of the wreath. I am super impressed!
