Who Likes Salad?

I know I love a good salad. For me, I especially enjoy a nice, big, loaded salad with all the trimming and veggies. For me, the thing that makes or breaks a salad is the dressing that you put on it. Newman’s Own has some new dressings, and they are delicious! These dressings add a great flavor to your salad, setting over the top.

  • Ranch
  • Italian

These five dressings are organic. Not all of the dressings are organic, some are regular or lite, such as the new salad dressings below.

We have two regular salad dressings that just hit the shelves:

  • Citrus Splash
  • Honey Apple Cider Vinaigrette

Back in 1982, it all started with Paul Newman’s tasty homemade salad dressing. The neighbors’ acclaim was deafening. Today, we’ve got one for every taste so choose your favorite – Light, Regular or Organic – and make your salad sensational! Newman’s Own has generously donated more than $485 million dollar to charity to date!

About Newman’s Own

In 1982, Paul Newman created Newman’s Own, a premium quality food and beverage company, based on 2 principles: “Quality will always trump the bottom line” and “100% of the profits will go to charity.” Paul felt he had been lucky in life and sharing one’s good fortune with others was “just the right thing to do.”
As the sole owner of Newman’s Own, Paul donated over $245 million of the net profits and royalties he received to thousands of charities. Today, the “100% of profits to charity” commitment is continued by Newman’s Own Foundation, which succeeded Paul as sole owner.

My Thoughts

Initially, I didn’t think I would like some of the dressings. I have always been a ranch or french kind of girl. But, I decided to give them a chance, and I have found that they actually work well in recipes, not just on salad. The Italian dressing, for instance, works well to marinate chicken. So, I have given all of them a fair chance, and I have been more than impressed! The citrus splash dressing gives that kick of citrus, which is awesome because it adds flavor beyond the normal. I love that the company donates to charity, because it shows that they aren’t in business to get rich, but rather to help others. This is very admirable. So, overall, I’m very happy with these and they will be a staple in my pantry from now on!
