Who likes to walk through their local mall? Well, any mall, really. I love finding new malls to visit. I don’t necessarily buy stuff, I just like walking through the stores and seeing what’s what. I do, however, like visiting and purchasing things from department stores like Dillard’s. Their makeup is of the highest quality. I particularly like The Edge Beauty Collection.
I recently had an opportunity to try out a couple of things from The Edge Beauty Collection. I was very impressed. The first thing I noticed was the fantastic packaging. It’s gorgeous! It really catches a persons eye. I have a hard time spending money on things generally. I am cheap, I admit. But this product packaging just screams “BUY ME!!” when you walk by. Ok, not literally, because, well, that would be weird. Also a bit scary..lol.
The Edge Beauty Iconic Lipstick in the Nude shade (retail $20.00), is quite possibly the best lipstick I’ve ever used. I don’t normally like lipstick because I can’t seem to find a decent one that doesn’t feather (my lips are horribly dry!) or look weird (because my lips are horribly thin…lol.). This stuff passed both tests! I really like how it looks on me! I have red hair, so finding a good shade to go with everything is impossible. It goes on smooth and stays put for an extended amount of time. It doesn’t feather like a lot of the cheaper brands do. The tube itself is great! I love the design and it’s really awesome that it “clicks” into place, to prevent it from coming apart in your bag. I’ve had a lot of lipstick do this, and it’s not cool. It makes a horrible mess!

The other piece of the collection that I got to try out was The Edge Beauty Iconic Blush in the color Sultry (retail $22.00). Now, this serves a duel purpose, as the compact has a nice mirror in it. So you have a mirror and blush all in one! You get a fair amount of product in this as well, so it will last you some time. It’s compact enough to fit nicely into your bag for on-the-go touchups. It has a very sleek design, with a fantastic black on silver color scheme. The blush itself has a nice texture to it. I love how it blends nicely with my foundation, rather than feeling caked on.
