Home for the Holidays. This term invokes warm, fuzzy feelings. It makes me think of those Hallmark movies where everyone is happy in the end. This, of course, is the ideal Holiday scenario.
It makes me think of college students coming home to spend time with their families, Military personnel getting leave to see their family after an extended period away, and estranged families making their way back to each other.
For my Holiday to be happy, I like to cook a nice dinner for my family. When I do this, I want to use Progresso soup stock, Their soup stock is made from scratch and taste amazing! Progresso uses real bones, flavorful vegetables and aromatic herbs to simmer their stock. They add so much flavor to your dish! I love Holiday place settings. They look so fabulous and fancy!
This place setting is gorgeous! The low lit candles, wine glasses, and the plates/silverware just calm me. Since I am calm, it’s on to the cooking!!
Progresso soup stock is going to help you make your dishes even better! They add major flavor in everything you put them in. Personally, I use stock for a ton of recipes every day, not just during the Holidays. My all time favorite dish to add stock to? Mashed Potatoes. The chicken stock adds just the right amount of flavor (As if they need it! Mashed potatoes are the bomb!!) to them to make them the best you’ve ever had! Try this Slow-Cooker Mashed Potato recipe from Progresso.
As if that picture wasn’t enough to get your hunger going, you can also make other recipes with these amazing stocks. They come in several flavors:
- Vegetable Stock
- Chicken Stock
- UNSALTED Chicken Stock
I personally love chicken noodle soup. Doesn’t homemade chicken noodle soup make you think of cold, wintery days when all you want to do is curl up with a good book and great bowl of Grandma’s Slow-Cooker Chicken Noodle Soup?
No Holiday meal would be complete without a bird in the center of the table. Sometimes it’s a turkey, sometimes it’s a chicken. Either way Progresso stock is going to be your best friend when it comes to basting. You can use either of the chicken stocks to baste your birds. The flavor will make it pop! Check out Progresso’s recipe for Herb Roasted Turkey. Just replace the broth with the Progresso Chicken Stock.
So, the next time you want to cook, make sure you are cooking with Progresso. You can find this soup stock at most stores, with a suggested retail price of $3.49.
